for diabetics in Baden-Württemberg
AOK Signs Agreement with Sanofi-Aventis over insulin preparation "Lantus"
Baden-Wuerttemberg diabetics who are insured with the AOK, may continue their usual diabetes therapy with the so-called long-acting insulin analogue "Lantus".
The AOK indicates that long-acting insulin analogues future only limited health insurance can be used to cost. But the current agreement between the AOK Baden-Wuerttemberg and Sanofi-Aventis agreement allows the affected diabetics secure continuation of their therapy with the drug that they are accustomed. This secure supply burden on the insured, not more expensive.
